Chey studied Advertising and Graphic Design at The Art Institute of Boston where she obtained her BFA. Many of her teachers worked at prestigious advertising agencies where she would end up working at as well. Some of the agencies and in-house corporations include, Hill, Holliday, Mullen, Duffy & Shanley, Talbots, Universal-Wilde, and RobbinsKersten Direct. Chey was exposed to a multitude of clients ranging from financial and education to technology and health care. Chey was particularly inspired by Jack Connors. He became a significant role model for her. Jack’s give-back-to-charity mentality resonated with Chey. Consequently, she always makes time to volunteer her creative services to non-profit organizations. Most importantly, in 2006 Chey and her sister, co-founded a 501c3 non-profit organization, Double Dog Rescue. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, the organization has saved thousands of dogs from being euthanized in the south.
